The Beverly Arts Center counts on the support of our corporate partners to run a variety of programs. Sponsoring the arts is a proven, cost effective and highly visible marketing tool. Gifts to the 555 Club are tax-deductible as provided by law. 555 Club gifts should be made payable to the Beverly Arts Center. Gifts may be pledged and fulfilled over five or less years.

Saturday Teen class, Fall session, beginning September 7th.
Must be able to teach beginning metal working skills for Jewelry I
class including basic fabrication techniques.Jewelry II includes continued fabrication techniques, and will

| An internship at the Beverly Arts Center is a great way to gain valuable job experience. We often have opportunities in marketing, arts administration, and theater operations. If you would like to learn more, please contact Mike Nix at the above address.
Interested in a summer internship? Each summer the BAC offers a number of both paid and unpaid internships for students ages 14-21. Applicants must be residents of the City of Chicago to qualify for a paid position. Email emily@beverlyartcenter.org for more information. Internships are offered in Arts Education, Directing, Stage Management, Costuming, Stagecraft, Lighting Design, Arts Administration, and Graphic Design/Publicity.
Information becomes available in February and applications are due early spring. Internships are generally June - August.

VOLUNTEERING AT THE BEVERLY ARTS CENTER

in the Arts is alive and well at the Beverly Arts
Center thanks to our volunteers. If you are currently involved with
Active in the Arts volunteer activity, thank you.
If you are not volunteering but would like to, please check out
our volunteer position descriptions. Whether you are currently volunteering
or about to sign up, please share this information with your family
friends and neighbors. Volunteering is a wonderful way to expand
your social horizons, learn new skills, share your breadth of experience

Job Descriptions
Ushering-Usher
and see the performance! Come one hour before the performance and
stay for light housekeeping after the performance. Your theater
admittance is complimentary.
Administration-
File clerk would help perform filing tasks, stuffing envelopes,
and light typing. Typing skills are required. As a receptionist
you would work the front desk assisting BAC patrons and answering
telephones. Daytime hours only .
Membership-Keeping
membership up to date is an ongoing task of sending renewals out
in the mail.
Maintenance-There
is always a need for carpenters and painters. These jobs are intermittent
and you would be called as you are needed.
Landscaping-
You can help cut and water the grass or you can assist the Morgan Park/ Beverly Hills Garden Club members who tend our grounds.
The time commitment is from May through September for one to two
hours every other week. You can come at you own convenience or or
join in with others.
Gallery- Gallery assistants help in hanging, taking down, and
packing art shows. You would be called upon as needed .
Cinema-We
have a great film program! Help set up and break down the popcorn
machine and concession stand and/or distribute film material. Receive complimentary movie tickets for your help.
Backstage
theater-The stage crew is involved with building, stage
managing etc. Youth directors are needed to direct children backstage
during practices and performances. You would be called on a per
show basis.
Special
Events-The Beverly Arts Center has many annual events such
as the Benefit Auction, the Chicago Irish Film Festival etc. Each event has many
jobs and responsibilities overseen by volunteer committees.
Publicity- If
you are running around anyway, how about helping to distribute flyers,
posters, etc.?
Bartending- Bars are open to serve refreshments during
evening performances and during special events. (Must be 21 & over)
Fundraising-There
are some people who just love to raise money and we would just love
for you to help us!
