BAC $10,000 Match!

Every day, your support makes the arts happen in our neighborhood and beyond. As we near the end of our fiscal year, we are thrilled to announce that through the generosity of the CSX Transportation Foundation and an anonymous corporate donor, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000! This is an incredible opportunity for your donation to have even greater impact for the Beverly Arts Center.

***Thanks to you…The BAC brought concerts, comedy, plays and main stage entertainment to our community throughout the year; like our critically acclaimed production of “Daughters of Ire”, in collaboration with The Other Theatre Company.

***Thanks to you…Over 6000 students experienced quality arts programming in their public and private schools, such as Clissold Elementary’s artist mentorship program or students from Hurley Elementary traveling to Chile to perform in an international dance festival.

***Thanks to you…Over 3000 youth and adults have taken arts classes that develop focus, creativity, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and social skills.

***Thanks to you…The BAC continues to make strides to improve the facility and equipment necessary to be the gem of the south side. We are thrilled that we have been chosen as an anchor site for the upcoming International Chicago Architecture Biennial.

Your financial support will have a real, lasting impact on BAC’s ability to manage the upkeep on an aging facility, keep qualified staff, provide opportunities for working artists, and maintain our mission of providing diverse, quality arts programming, education, and entertainment for all ages and levels. We can’t do this without you, so please make your donation by August 24th to help us meet this challenge!

As always, we thank you for your continued support of the BAC!

With warm gratitude,

Shellee Frazee
Interim Executive Director/Artistic Director

P.S. Please consider a donation of $50, $100, $250 or whatever you can afford to help us get this match by August 24!

Taxpayers age 70 1/2 and older may direct up to $100,000 of their IRA-required minimum distributions to charity. By doing so, the distribution does not count as taxable income, which has the potential of lowering taxation of Social Security benefits. This provision is scheduled to end December 31, 2013. Congress may extend this benefit into future years.
